Detection
Amperage? Is that an American word? 18 months of Electrical training and I havent encountered it once, called it ampage or just generally "current" hehe just reminded me, my gf calls "Fuses" - "Amps" :p I`m forever on her case about it, but she insists that everyone, including the hardware shops know what she means / call them the same... I'm just like... no, they know what you mean, but they don't call them that too :)
jwjw1
Amperage? Is that an American word? 18 months of Electrical training and I havent encountered it once, called it ampage or just generally "current" not sure if its just an american slang..but its nothing really unknown. could be how one once to referance it...amp,ampere,ampacity. I've maintained my Union Journeyman Electrical License for over 20 years and still hear term amperage when doing walk-thurs in Nuclear Plants and Power Plants. http://www.cerrowire.com/ampacity-charts

LUTZIFER
Everyone seems to think it's the toasters fault. Has nothing to do with the toaster, it's the bread. Some bread is thicker than others, sometimes the bread has a bend in it, etc. etc. Well sometimes the piece of bread is also too small and people don't realize till it's done and it's no where near the top or it slipped down the grate at the bottom, or it just simply got stuck. Either way, it was the bread or human error that did it, not the toaster. And about getting shocked, personally I highly doubt you'll get a shock from it whether it's on or off. cooky560 Veteran Posted November 18, 2012 Veteran Share Posted November 18, 2012 I've never had to do this, my toaster pushes the toast out with so much force it literally jumps out the top on when it's done.
