Drill down menu

Question

Hi all,

I'm using wordpress for my non-profit organisation's website, which runs pretty well with some hiccups so far. However, the default menu needs a little adjusting, because a lot of people who use it are using a touch-device. The default menu is drop-down, but this isn't as good because you can't hover your mouse over something when you don't have a mouse.

So - I'm after a way to implement a drill down (not drill across!) menu into wordpress, which I can add menu items for using the built-in admin page (since I'm not the only one who has to configure the site!)

Can anyone help me out?

shouldn't be hard with js and css hiding certain menu items untill a item is clicked etc

You tried googling for a tutorial? here's a good plugin as example: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jquery-drill-down-ipod-menu/

For everyone who wonders what a drill down menu is, it's the same as the menu on a ipod classic so that's why a lot of people call it a ipod menu ^^

Could try - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jetpack/ which has a ton of features, but will also give you the option of - "A mobile theme that automatically streamlines your site for visitors on mobile devices."

Ah - this mobile theme is perfect - except for one thing!

I need to be able to have a text widget (which is updated biweekly) to be visible for the mobile site and the mobile site, since 90% of visitors to the site a regulars wanting the updates that I use this little box for.
