Hello guys,

So I ran the random.org website for your posts for this contest.. and the winnner is.....

:woot: Guth :woot:

Congratulations! I'll be sending you a private message shortly with the subscription link and instructions!

-------------

Sorry, I didn't have anymore subscription to give away, but if you're interested in Treehouse...

Stay updated with their blog for more scholarships. Keep the blog in your rss reader. They recently gave almost 7,500 students 2 year gold scholarships worth almost $10 million. (http://blog.teamtree...dents-worldwide)

Furthermore,
Teamtreehouse.com is currently giving away a couple of 1 year subscriptions:
If you guys wanna try here too, just fill out the form at the website:

https://docs.google....mwwLXc6MQ#gid=0

You guys can also view the videos too to learn.

----------------------

Here are some other cool websites to learn web-development and design too. Stuff ranges from iOS, Ruby on Rails, Javascript, Frameworks, and other things. Most of them can be advanced, but try it out when you are more comfortable. They do have some basic courses too.

www.peepcode.com/

www.codeschool.com/

The codeschool website also have certain free courses such as this really good one on version control in git. Version control is a very important skill to learn. This is a nice course that is gamified for much easier understanding.

----------------

Here are some online education websites that are more focused on tough and straight up computer science courses too. This is hardcore stuff such as Databases, data mining, machine learning, search engine dev, game dev, algorithms, and many other advanced concepts too. Really great stuff and all of the below links are mostly free.

Hello,

You can check out all of the videos here on the treehouse website.. browse the catalog:
http://teamtreehouse.com/library

I remember before it was reborn as treehouse, it was known as ThinkVitamin videos. They had a lot of videos node-js, MapReduce, and other things. They're refilling many of their older content and setting it up with the new website.

Furthermore, http://www.codeschool.com/courses has a lot of beginners to advanced stuff too. They have a lot of stuff for backend too.

For anyone that still wishes to join, if you go for the Gold membership, you get your first month free. Found this on their blog.
https://teamtreehous...-bar-free-month

You have to give them card/paypal details though, but you could just cancel before the first month is up.
