I am pretty old fashioned by if he loved her before the revelation, he should love her the same after. She is the same person she has been for the last 19 years.

I'd beat the **** out of her. Not really, I could never hit a woman... oh wait.

Does girl on girl action make you want to vomit too or is it a one way street?

I would be like,
"Oh you are a man, uh, so that means no more sex or something?"

Isn't that normal in any marriage? <--Honestly not joking here. Couples lie to each other all the time. I've watched friends and family come to me and tell me things their other half haven't known in the entirety of the marriage. I always feel everyone should be honest, but being real, that just doesn't happen.

Whereas, I do not know how I would react in this situation, if I was 68 and my life was closing in on its ends, I think I would just enjoy the time I spent with the person since he obviously fell in love with her when he thought she was a woman. She obviously pulled a woman off well for 19 years. Also, I am a confident heterosexual, but even in this situation, it would make things difficult, seeing as how he fell for the person, not the attraction.

I think there is a lot in this: "Jan found "amorous messages" from other men on her computer. He confronted her and a row ensued that led to police being called."

He clearly fell in love with her, as a woman. He never saw her in her past so it's largely unimportant, and I assume the only reason he's actually using this as an excuse now is due to her suspected infidelity

I doubt this very much.

He fell in love with a body.

It takes two to tango: one needed a sex slave, another one needed a free ride in life and get out of Indonesia.

imho, both of them are selfish and stupid, despite being the masters of deception, coz they've wasted their only lives living a fake life.

No he clearly fell in love with her as a person hence he went through the hassle of getting her into Belgium. I do not see anywhere that it's implied he just wanted a sex slave, you've perhaps embellished too much from the story. If she was disingenuous with her intentions at the start then yes he was a fool.
