eccofresh
hey, its time to get a new laptop and would like to hear some comments on my decision. Basically the device will stay at home for 80% of the time so portability is nice but I don't really consider an Ultrabook because of poor graphics card. A core i7 is a must aswell as at least 6GB Ram plus an SSD. Price should be around 1000? The best I came up with is the Lenovo Ideapad Y580, it features: 15,6? Full-HD-Display @ 1920 x 1080, glare :-( Intel? Core? i7-3630QM Prozessor 2.40 GHz with Intel? Turbo Boost -> 3.40 GHz Nvidia Geforce GTX 660M, 2048 MB VRAM, Intel HD Grafik 4000 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz Ram 1000 GB HD, 5.400 U/Min DVD Super Multi Brenner (DVD DL?RW/CD?RW) WLAN 802.11 b/g/n, GBit-LAN, Bluetooth 4.0, WiDi HDMI, USB 3.0 HD Webcam I would exchange the hard drive with a Samsung 840 Pro (128GB). Together its just under a thousand ??. Is there any system that can compete with this price? greets
Muhammad Farrukh
Y580 is a great one. HP' DV7 series is great, but I couldn't find one with a SSD Samsung Series 9 is expensive
eccofresh
looked into the dv7 but its 17" :-( i have a 24" monitor @ my desk and the 17" is too big for transportation imo. i just found the Lenovo Y400 @ the american lenovo site and they have a pretty sweet deal at the moment. gona check out how much tax i would have to pay if i import it :)
