could you provide links to the apps on the play store.

Also if they are Pay for apps then it would be illegal to post links to download them.

Honestly, when I'm in that situation I just do a regular Google search (meaning Google.com not Google Play) to find APKs hosted on websites and that's usually enough. You could also try 3rd-party app stores like Amazon's, AppBrain, GetJar, etc.

I've never tried grabbing an APK file directly from the Play Store, so I wouldn't be much help there, unfortunately.

You have to "register" your official Google phones/tablets with your gmail accont for them to work.

I have actually once it is registered -- download items to my pc then transfered them to my tablet (only because my phone is registered but my tablet is a cruz).

Have you tried - SlideMe?

I have found some free apps also are held there and you do not need play store.

Interesting. I've never tried to just get the APK file from there, so maybe I overlooked that option. I have multiple devices registered and when I install from PC the website brings up a list of compatible devices to install the app to. When I choose one the download automatically starts on the selected device.

If you have a rooted phone, there apps that allow you to copy the original apk of stuff you've installed.

I've used this method to install apps to my non-google G Tablet 10' and try some apps on my logitech Revue

@ Unimatrix - Only able to install the Subway Subcard to my Nexus one, the other one's are not compatible with my andriod devices.

It's citing "This item cannot be installed in your device's country."
