LAFAYETTE, IN — A woman is accused of deliberately posting a nude photo of her teenage daughter on the girl’s Facebook page.

The girl’s face, breasts and genitals were clearly visible, investigators said.

The mother, Lynda A. Rusk, 50, was charged Wednesday in Tippecanoe Circuit Court here with child exploitation, a Class C felony, and possession of child pornography, a Class D felony.

A warrant has been issued for Rusk’s arrest.

The accusations against her stem from an incident that happened a year ago, on Nov. 8, 2011. It took a year to bring charges because of time required to subpoena Facebook, Rusk and her daughter’s cellphone provider, along with time needed to review the paperwork and evidence, according to Detective Mark Pinkard of the Lafayette Police Department.

It says in the article that the girl took the photos herself, but her mum was in possession of the phone at the time the photos were uploaded.

According to MPAA/RIAA,

Yes, she distributed them.

And kids today know how to take advantage of the laws that's on their side.

Well according to MPAA/RIAA you don't even own the story of your own life. MPAA/RIAA just give you to right to experience it and can revoke this right at any time thus requring you to commit sucide asap.

I think you meant "...it's brain dead of a minor to even take such a photo in the first place", right? You make it sound like there's nothing wrong with her taking the photo, just don't leave it on the phone.

actually, yes... the law states ANYONE knowingly creating a depiction is in volation of the law... she should technically be charged with creation which is a worse crime than distribution.. kids can still be charged with creation as long as they were not forced to do it
