game_over
Strange, i've never really had any issues scrolling on Safari, i've mainly been a Chrome user which runs like absolute crap on my rMBP so i've been switching back to Safari, which runs great. CPressland
Yeah the Chrome scrolling speed sucks, but hopefully changes to the Webkit branch will eventually come down to Chrome and we'll see improvements. At least, thats what happens in my perfect world.
Brian Miller
Why do people use Safari over Chrome on the Mac?
.Neo
Why do people use Safari over Chrome on the Mac? In my opinion Safari has a much nicer interface and animations, smoother scrolling, Tab View, iCloud integration (tabs, bookmarks), Reader, its sharing options and overall the browser just integrates better with OS X. On top of that I don't really trust Google with much of my info. I see no reason whatsoever why I should use Chrome over Safari.
game_over
Why do people use Safari over Chrome on the Mac? Why do you use Chrome over Safari? I've seen little difference between the 2 to be honest, apart from Chrome is significantly worse on a rMBP, and believe it or not, Chrome crashes a lot more.. for me anyway (god damn shockwave plugin). If you use chrome on iphone/ipad then you get the same syncing, and you don't get the bookmark bar which makes it an extra click to load a website. neo1911 1 Share
Biohead
Chrome had major issues when the 2012 "classic" MBPs came out, involving the new HD4000 graphics card resulting in a pretty frequent kernel panic. It's probably sorted now, but it made internet browsing impossible at the time and the reason I personally switched back to Safari.
myxomatosis
Why do people use Safari over Chrome on the Mac? Because it?s a better, faster, more stable browser on Mac?! :p I?m using Chrome on my Windows machine and wouldn?t use anything else? but it?s a piece of crap on Mac as far as I?m concerned. Safari on the other hand works pretty well, and has some advantages Chrome doesn?t offer.
