I just pay a little extra ever 3 months to be able to search inside Newsbin. It's so fantastically great. Take a file name obtained from a site, paste it in, hit search, then double click the file name and you are off!.

Newsleecher does the same thing + it's a little less clunky. Give it a try

We need a "Silk Road" TOR type indexer to appear and get Bitcoin working the right way for them.

Frack, that sucks. With this down, and nzbsrus in limbo (I had subs on both sites), I can't get my fix of new linux isos.

Yeah, sad day indeed. There are also all kinds of DCMA takedown notices on usenet servers everywhere.

Many of the indexing sites obviously have these DCMA people inside them, and are contributing towards the takedowns. They'll never win though and someone else will come along and fill any void.

UseNet has been around for 30+ years, and will outlast this blip

This was the best NZB index site, sad to see this go :(

Hopefully nzbs.in can do everything I need for now :)

If anything, usenet et al have made me spend waaay more on media than ever before.
And no, I don't mean usenet provider subscription costs. :D

Guys, there are also a couple of good Dutch sites and some German language nzbs that often contain both the German as well as English languages for your linux iso's!

Maybe if companies didn't stick to such archaic ways of distributing their content people wouldn't have to look elsewhere.

US shows rarely come to UK free to air channels, when they do they are usually at least a season or two behind, shows regularly switch channels from season to season or in some cases don't get picked back up or move to pay channels. If you want to skip that you have to wait for the whole season to finish and then wait a few months for the show to come on DVD/Bluray.

If they make it so difficult to consume my content I don't have any issues with downloading TV shows. Thats not a justification, its just my reasoning.

Because it's crucial for you life to not be a year(though today it's usually a month at most) behind Americans in shows.
