[hxc] Posted November 1, 2003 Share Posted November 1, 2003 now the only problem i have ever had with xp right off the bat was that i couldnt play music without installing my santa cruz sound drivers first, no default sound. now with longhorn the same thing happens, no sound until drivers installed. obviously santa cruz wont have drivers out for longhorn yet and i'm just about to try installing my xp drivrs, but if that doesnt work, does anyone know how to make my sound card work with longhorn? thank you :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The Release Candidate (unsigned) drives as of late June give me sound in my front channels...but no center or rear channels. ftp://ftp.voyetra.com/pub/tbs/santacru/sc_4193.exe At least I have -some- sound. :) I have a 5.1 speaker arrangement, so I don't know what experience you will have with a more traditional one.
