Scorbing Posted December 10, 2012 Share Posted December 10, 2012 What the hell is going on at Apple? Does anyone know what the deal is with updates not being able to download properly? Every time I try to download an update, it fails. It says the file is corrupted. I even tried downloading straight from the direct download link and nothing. Same deal. even tried downloading it from my Windows machine and copying it to a USB then transfering it to the imac and nothing. The iMac is hard wired. Anyone knows how to fix this mess? When I click on Software Update on tghe Mac, I see the updates then when I click on UPDATE it begins to download the update and when its done and its ready to install, it begins to install and then it stops and says the file is corrupted. update cannot be installed and to try again. Well, I am tired of trying many different ways and nothing. This is what I keep getting. I'm sick of it. I'm about to throw the Mac out the door. Well I was asking more for one of the downloads you tried from their site, as everything on my end was up to date so I could not test it out that way. But I see it was somehow your modem. I would see if you could move this to the Internet section, someone may know there. Especially since you were getting online since you could get to their site itself it makes less sense, but my hunch would be a cookie/cache issue was causing it.
