So today I had the company order me a Google Nexus 4, so I can test my layouts from Eclipse on it. But I am being quoted LUDICROUS delivery times ... up to 6 weeks.

I'm loving my Galaxy Nexus and have access to Galaxy S3 and all the other fancy ones ... but I REALLY want my Nexus 4 to arrive sooner.

Are delivery times really that bad? Anyone here got one sooner?

I'm an iPhone addict and I wont ever use Android as my primary phone system, but I am the lead designer and want my damn phone!!! hehe

USA N4 buyer here. No way around the wait times except to buy it directly from someone else through ebay or craigslist at an inflated price if you really need it now. There are other UK buyers over at xda where you might be able to track the shipments, but you will find that wait times are still similar to the states. Mine is not scheduled to ship until mid-January and can only hope they fulfill sooner. So it is just a waiting game right now.

Yeah it's ok, it's already been ordered. Remember, I didn't pay for it, so I just told them what I wanted, gave them the link and they ordered it. Just a shame it's gonna take so long. By the time it arrives, the next phone generation will be out

There are reports of them shipping a lot earlier than the quoted times so you may get it sooner. You'll just have to wait and see when it turns up!

Unfortunately lots of greedy losers have found that there is such demand for the Nexus 4, they've been buying up all the stock and then sticking it on eBay at overinflated prices... so you're just going to have to get your order in and get waiting. Or pay to line the pockets of the scum that do this on eBay!
