Three UK Early Termination Fee

Recommended Posts

Got to love Indian Call Centers, Anyway so I am confused here can anyone explain this, What is the Early Termination Fee? Is it simply the Sum of the Remaining Months? Maybe a little bit more for "Admin Fees"?

Thanks

Early Termination Fee is usually however many remaining months you have left multiplied by your monthly amount minus VAT - at least that is what Vodafone was. So infact there are no admin fees and it's actually slightly less than paying it all off monthly as normal.

Good luck! I tried cancelling my contract with Three, 4 years ago. Being outside my contract and after calling their call centers at least 7 times over the space of 2 months to cancel, it came to the point where I just cancelled it through the bank, and even today they're still chasing me for payment, HA! I can only hope for you that their customer support has improved over that time.

To answer your question, I believe it's the outstanding monthly payments upto the end of the contract. Some company's let you off on some payments if you agree to return the phone, dependant on how old the contract / phone is.

Yeah it was a nightmare on the phone, They kept telling me if I cancel I wont be able to use the phone! I told them over and over again that's fine!!! P.S Cheers for clearing that up. Makes sense now.

There is an email address where you can ask them to cancel your contract instead of going via the phone. It's supposed to be for those with hearing/blind so they respond quick

gah they did this to me ... its just how many months you have left on your contract... they still charge you for it ... but i had to get out ... if you dont give notice EXACTLY 30 days before the end of your contract they will start a new one the next contract year... and you will have to do it again or pay the whole year... they are slimey buggers

That's sneaky. If you don't agree to a new contract or sign for it, then surely they can't auto renew it if you don't cancel at end of month 11? That's unless you they had this in small print in your original contract?

the renewal is in the previous contract ;) I was lucky managed to put in a request on the 60th day before end and said just take my money get me out of this crap

Every contract I've had has always been after the last months bill has been paid, they assume you want to keep the connection unless you tell them otherwise, but you can cancel / upgrade / change tariff without penalty after this last date.
