People have taken to contacting the Dan Cobley, MD of Google UK and Ireland via his Google Plus profile which has so far led to the following response:
Thanks for your patience and my profuse apologies again for the poor service you have all received. I agree that this is not how we should be communicating with our customers.
I am still waiting for an answer from the team that I think is good enough to share. I hope to get that and share it tomorrow.
A site has also been set-up with an open letter to Google to ask what is going on, when people are likely to have their orders fulfilled and why their Google Plus Customer Care is so ill-informed. The site allows customers to register themselves on a petition to express their experience with Google in trying to obtain a Nexus 4.
