The latest article I read said that wasn't the case and that the shooter physically forced his way into the school by breaking a window. There has been a lot more inaccurate reporting regarding this shooting than most, as media organisations scrambled to report information before the competition. I wouldn't really trust anything that's been reported.
Yeah I heard, they were first saying, and for a good amount of time, his mother was a teacher at the school. Apparently now there was no connection at all, which is truly just mind boggling. I cannot even comprehend how he could do this to begin with, but now hearing there was zero connection and his mother was indeed not a teacher, that just makes it 1000 times more disgusting, and it was already as horrid as can be.

Let me ask something...
If you were to be on edge, ready to go blasting up somewhere and that little voice in the back of your head told you to stop and get help...
Would you immediately know where to go? No phone book, no cell phone... just where do you turn your car to go?

The guy was crazy. Who knows what was going on in his head. But frankly, Mental Health is virtually non-existent in this country.
The hospital?

With that said, on the news before, they were saying 1 out of 17 Americans has a severe mental health issue.
Out of all of the people who have a mental illness, only 33% get treatment.

In other "WTF People are brain dead.."

At least 26 people are dead, 20 of them children, after a deadly shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. Friday morning. Around the country people sat watching their televisions, anxiously awaiting reports from all major news sources. CBS, Fox News, ABC, CNN, and more delayed their usual programming to cover the Sandy Hook shooting. On ABC, apparently, the special coverage on Friday angered many who wanted to watchJustin Bieber on “Ellen”.

Twitter was filled with people commenting about the shooting. Some people expressed anger that the school zone had been “gun-free” while others demanded stricter gun regulation. Some were talking about the tales of heroics as teachers risked their lives to save their students. Many were talking about the horror they felt hearing that someone had murdered 20 small children. Then there were the Justin Bieber fans.

Justin had pre-taped an appearance on the “Ellen” daytime show. Amber Beatty tweeted, “Ok this story is sad and all but please put Ellen on”. Jason Coverstone tweeted “I just want to watch Ellen, not this shooting coverage!”.
“Ugh! The stupid shooting is all over the news and cutting into my Ellen and Justin Bieber!!! So mad!!!” tweeted Chloe G, as if it never occurred to her that the parents of those children who were murdered would much rather have their children back and let her watch “Ellen”.

The list of tweets from Justin Bieber fans could continue, but it is obvious that the pop superstar did not ask for his fans to be so insensitive. He tweeted, “heard about what happened in CT, my prayers go out to all those suffering in this tragedy. it'ss just wrong. Everyone please pray for them.” Hopefully, Justin Bieber’s fans will realize the lives lost in Connecticut on Friday were more important than a pre-taped daytime talk show.

Makes me wonder how the human race has managed to make it this far.

And so much of that early news was inaccurate. Its all a ratings game. We have 24 hour news channels for that stuff. maybe they did not want to listen to horrible news and wanted to enjoy some music. In what way does watching the news help the familys or first responders. It doesn't. Yes the tweets might of been uncuth but so what. I turned the tv off. hearing the same stuff over and over is annoying when they have nothing new to report..it just gets recycled. I rather just listen later when the real story comes out.

Reading on CNN in the forums people even talking that mentally imbalanced people should be separated from the regular citizens.
