shifts
Hi All, Just like the topic says, whats the more efficient way to transfer files on a home network from my Mac to windows 8. At the moment I'm using the rather un-elegant file transfer facility in Teamviewer. Any ideas? THanks
PNWDweller
Fast way - connect external drive to Mac - Format exFAT - drag/drop files to drive, unmount then onnect to Win8 box/system and copy over. Network - create SMB share in Windows by sharing folder(s), mount drive in Finder by Connecting to Server SMB Share. OR Install Filezilla Server (free) on Win8 system, set to enable server, set your credentials etc...connect via FTP to Win8 Box and transfer that way. Network of course will depend on your upload connection speed if you are going over net.
*RedBull*
Optionally you could purchase an Amped Wireless router for file sharing via USB. Works perfectly.
