It's not like it's any trouble to just use it for syncing. If you gotta use an alternative to your preferred media player, then I don't see the problem with just using iTunes instead.

are you sure about the ipod nano 7generation it's only 16gb version?
because i know i can use other program with ipod nano 2 or 3 or 4 generation
but i don't know about the last version , the 7 generation
