RichardK Posted December 17, 2012 Share Posted December 17, 2012 If you actually plan on using the laptop screen, go with the 17R unless you can get a better resolution panel on the 15R. I, personally, had a 17" laptop once and would never own one again simply because I thought it was too big. However I would also never buy a 15" display that was only 1366x768. eccofresh Posted December 17, 2012 Share Posted December 17, 2012 if you want to carry it around go for 15". If it is not for games only and you want to carry it around alot I'd go for an ultrabook. I was about to buy the 15R SE but have now ordered a Lenovo y580 which offers alot more value. There is a 15" Model with full hd which is about the same price. Even my laptop from 6 years ago is rocking 1680x1050. This race to the bottom as far as screen resolutions & quality go is really disappointing.
