Good Skin for XBMC 12 for SD TVs?

Recommended Posts

Heya guys!

I'm using my Raspberry Pi as XBMC 12 box right now, but I find the default skin to be WAY too hard to read (and I'm usually pretty fine with small text) from across the room.

I know that for version 11 there seem to be some skins, however I tried installing one of these and they seem to not be compatible.

The default add-on repo only shows 2 skins - both of them being "broken".

Any thoughts?

It's a 4:3 30" or so CRT TV, so yeah, quite a tough limitation.

Sorry for hijacking your thread GS, but how's that device working out as a media centre? Does it perform (reasonably) well and stuff like that?

As for skins, I really have no idea... If I remember right, though, it should be XML based? If that's the case you should be able to change things quite easily...

Performs quite well for me. Even when playing HD .wtv recordings.

lol, buy one then, they are cheap

Great Scott!, you're right! heh.

Nah, I can't right now, no one has them in stock and I am moving to another country soon, so I can't really wait for them to ship, sadly my inner geek will have to wait.

lol, If you have a Maplins near you, you could buy one in-store more than likely, not sure where in the world you are atm

Here is a kit they sell, they might sell them separately, not sure - I'd have thought the demand for them would have lessened by now, I got mine from from here
