What would have you told yourself 10 years ago? if you could

Recommended Posts

I know that there is one thing that had I told myself it 10yrs ago I would've never believed it, and its the fact that next spring I'll have graduated from college with a minor in Math.

Not to sell my Magic the Gathering Alpha-Beta cards...I really miss them...Sold them far too cheap too...

And to get off my a** and stop procrastinating with some things...Though I doubt I would have listened, I still do it lol

And make better decisions about college...

For me it would've been to control my temper and put up with all the BS at the company I worked at instead of quitting my job, as the grass was definitely not greener on the other side!

But it can be 10 years ago today if you want, so think what you would like to tell yourself today, that you think would make a difference in your 10 years from now. Kinda hard to think of something.

I'd probably be too stubborn to listen, but either way I wouldn't tell myself much of anything. Everything has worked out pretty well and I wouldn't really want to mess with it much. Maybe give myself some 5 out of 6 lottery numbers a few times just so I have a nice chunk of my first mortgage out of the way without drawing too much attention or changing too much of my life.

10 years ago it would have been turning 2003. Let me see, I believe I was just starting to work for an IT company in Cambridge. I had just bought my 2nd flat in Bedford.... Hmmm.

I guess I would have to say that at that point, I was still making some right decisions, so I'd have pre-warned myself: If you do get married, commit to it fully, no half measures. Here's the places your relationship is weak, fix them now before they grow.

OR

Walk away from this relationship now. It fails. You both fail it. But nah, I don't regret it - just how it turned out.

does it have to be 10 years?

Yea really cause if it were like 15, I'd banged that Japanese chick when I had the chance. The other I would avoid banging.

Investment Tips (Level Three Stock, Nokia, Gold, Apple) and go back and tell myself how good life becomes and not to worry, Tell myself your going to read a book in a few years time that's going to change the way you live your life. P.S Yes I do get to sleep with her in the end! haha

Stand up to the fu**tards in my old school, go straight to art college and don't start anything else, invest in Apple (I wanted to, I was too young ~6 years ago :( and after that it would have been troublesome due to student loans etc) and tell myself who I am.

Took long enough to figure this out, I'd have loved to know earlier.

All historic key points in history (where to find bin laden, stocks, key business ventures, where wars breakout, etc) and go into business as a radical new strategist and make millions on FOX, CNN, and other news media outlets.

10 years ago i was already on the right track.

If i could go back further I would tell myself to learn more languages.

Would have been useful in my current job.

Other then that I'm pretty happy the way my life turned out
