Adding a blog to my website

Question

I'm just looking for some advice before I actually do this. What is the easiest way to add a blog to my website?

I don't really want to use wordpress as I have a design for my website that I created myself that I like. However if there was some way incorporate a wordpress blog into my existing design then I would be open to doing this.

Any ways I can read into will be appreciated

I wanted to add a blog to my site, so I just did some simple changes to the default WordPress theme to look closer to my site. That's the only advice I can offer.

Did you create current site from scratch? If you going to be changing content a lot, use some kind of CMS, then create theme off your current design.

You can incorporate wordpress onto your current site how easy/difficult it is i do not know here is there link on what to do but im sure there are many other guides and what not about. Plus im pretty sure if you typed in "intergrate blog to website" you would find quite a few links that helped and even discussed other pre-made software or something you could write yourself.

If it were me, I'd use wordpress and redesign my site into that and use it as a CMS/blog

However, as you don't want to do that i'd go for Cutenews aswell.

Easiest way, hire a professional. ;)

Second easiest way, use WordPress and create a theme using your current sites design and work it in.

Got a link to your current site so we can see how likely this is? Although it really doesn't matter to much what your current site is like as WP is damn flexible.

Just customise Wordpress to match your design. The possibilities are endless with WP, there really are no limits when it comes to design. It's a fully customisable cms these days, not just a blogging platform. If you can't skin it, get someone to do it for you.

I never have to worry about installing a blog on my website, as i have generally always just used blog tools as a website and just made custom templates for each page style. In the past i had attempted to create my own custom CMS and while it worked for the most part Wordpress offered so much more freedom as to what I could do and i could devote my time and effort into creating packages for it rather than custom site code

If you've coded the in HTML, you should easily be able to convert it to a wordpress theme.

Just look at the default theme to see how it uses "The Loop" and you should be sorted.

Wordpress is the way to go. It is no longer a blogging engine. It is almost a full blown CMS and it is a lot faster and more manageable than most dedicated CMS'
