Phantom Spaceman
So my two younger girls are afraid of the dark, but they're young enough to be pretty destructive. The wifey and I are looking for a stick to the wall (high up) night light for them. We have a light at the moment, but with fresh batteries it's really really bright and distracts them for hours on end. Even tonight after they were asleep, my wife went in and they literally had their arms over their eyes. I searched Amazon and didn't find much, so I turn to you, my trusted neowin community. We need a light we can put up out of their reach, battery powered, that can provide a little light for them to not be afraid of the dark, but one that won't distract them or keep them awake with too much light. Please help, my girls are relying on you!
zhangm Supervisor Posted December 31, 2012 Supervisor Share Posted December 31, 2012 You can buy something like this: http://www.amazon.com/LED-Pin-Light-Fridge-Magnets/dp/B00634MT88/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1356933459 Or if you like DIY, make a throwie and glue it into half a ping pong ball to diffuse the light. http://www.instructables.com/id/LED-Throwies/

Dan~
When I was younger I use to have glow in the dark things, especially stars above the lights so when they went out they glowed. Cheap and effective, the time they go dim they should be soundo

metallithrax
Leave the landing light on, and their bedroom door slightly ajar?
Phantom Spaceman
Leave the landing light on, and their bedroom door slightly ajar? We would but the light leaks into my son's bedroom, and he's like me will only sleep in pitch black lol. We like the throwie and ping pong ball idea tbh, will probably mess around with that a bit, I'll post back when we do it and let you all know how it goes. =o)
Boxster17
There's things like this that I've seen around, though not sure if you're open to motion sensors or want something that's always on: http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Beams-MB982-Battery-Operated/dp/B008X099V0/ref=pd_bxgy_hi_img_y
