Westell modem

Recommended Posts

I have a Westell A90-750045-07 modem. I have it set up to ask for a password when logging on to the internet wirelessly. I noticed my son was logged on and I hadn't logged him on. I asked how he got on and he said it just let him. I logged off with his laptop and tried to get back on and it asked me for the password. (what it's supposed to do). I don't log on, but a few minutes later I notice he's on again. I had changed the loggin password, but makes no difference. How can he log on without knowing the password? Is there a master password that he may have learned?

You sure he is just not connecting to the wireless next door?

You sure your changing the WPA/WPA2 PSK (password) and not just the gui password for the modem/router interface?

I know it's our network because I can go onto Westell site and see my network and who is on it.

The password I change is the WEP key code.

This has been a fairly recent thing(last couple weeks)

WEP?? Maybe he is just hacking it.. That can be hacked in like 30 seconds by anyone smart enough to search google for "wep crack"

Change your security to WPA/WPA2 with a SECURE PSK and then see what happens ;)
