Good uTorrent alternative?

104 posts in this topic

Yes, i am looking for alternatives as well, but i do like utorrent (when it works) anyway, i was banned at forum.torrent.com for posting a question in 2 relevant threads; i think they didnt like the question;

my question was;

what is the most recent stable utorrent build that respects the upload limit?

i know 3.1 worked for me; but i didnt want to deinstall/install 20 different builds between 3.1 and 3.3.1 to figure it out. i was hoping maybe someone did this already and could give the answer straight off.

2.2.1 seems to be the best, at least IMHO. Last of the versions that went to complete garbage.

thanks for your reply.

yes, i like that one as well, but i noticed with that 2.2 the DHT doesnt seem to work as well than it does with these 3.0 builds;

and DHT is where i find most peers when looking up older torrents.

smaller memory footprint with less garbage.

and compared to what i see in your signatures; you gentlemen have spacestations, and i have an amstrad 386sx25mhz
