DrakeN2k
I turned on my PC today to find that it will not POST (flashing white line on boot) , for the very first time. Windows 8 has been on my PC for around a week now no problems, and no hardware changes. So i wonder what it could be, I have a SSD around 3 years old according to intel ssd checking program its 99% health and the other HDD is also "good" condition for 5 years old. I fixed the problem by putting in my windows 8 disk and fixing the boot using commands. but im wondering if something is going wrong with my SSD / HDD. LittleNeutrino Veteran Posted January 10, 2013 Veteran Share Posted January 10, 2013 There are many things that can cause this from not shutting down properly to a random file being corrupted, even down to just random occurrence during bootup. Generally it can be repaired easily (as you found out) however, times it can be an issue with the hardware itself.
