~WinGz~ Posted January 12, 2013 Share Posted January 12, 2013 Every so often I have an issue with my ACER desktop monitor. Whenever I am at the base desktop screen it seems to be extremely dark where turning up my brightness does not work. However when I load a game its brightness is back to normal but once exiting the game its still grayed out and hard to see. I cannot figure out for the life of me why its doing this. I know its not the backlight because it works fine when playing a game and my settings havent been messed with. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I forgot my videocard had a second set of display settings and guess what dynamic contrast/ brightness was turned off due to the monitors settings. and agreed its a pita especially cause ive been trying for days to fix this.
