To be honest, I don't see that much of an issue. Those type of play areas are designed with young children in mind, too young to be out on their own. I see it more as a reminder to unresponsible parents who leave their toddlers unattended.

Many parents get tired and want a break from their kids.

I can't see many watching the kids at a playground.

Because these days "illegal" use of patented playground equipments outside of the specified EULA makes you a pirate.
