I am going to in the near future buy a new set of headphones (my current ones are like $5 and they suck and are going out). I have been doing a little research and these apparently get good reviews: http://gaming-headse...a40-review.html (The Astro 40). So I guess my question is though, even though they get good reviews and I'm sure they do well are they worth spending $200-250 on? Or can you buy a cheaper pair of headphones that sounds as/almost as good as the Astro 40? Sorry not much of an audio headset person until just now so I'm a little late to the party so to speak.

I would like to link these to you. Sure, they are PS3... but I use them on my PC for gaming, and it works flawlessly. I couldn't praise these enough. Everyone I have shown them to, and had test out, basically falls in love with it.

If you like that kind of style. They work great. Excellent sound cancelling.
