Issue with new sunglasses

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

Just bought a Rayban sunglasses (picture attached: Ray-Ban RB3467). The same day, when I got home, I've noticed that the temple tips (outlined in the pic attached) is not glued to the temple stick.

So, whenever I need to remove the sunglass, I need to be extremely careful because the tips will detach itself from the stick abit (around 2mm).I went back to the shop and they told me that its normal. The even told me that they contacted Rayban and the latter said it was normal; but frankly, I don't agree with this answer.

Since there's no official Rayban shop in my country, I've sent Rayban USA a mail asking them if its normal. I'm not from the US but its only on their website that I've found a contact page (not answer yet). Personally, the sunglasses is a bit expensive, but it really helps while driving.

So, if any of you good peeps know any rayban shop in their region, please do me a favor (pretty please with a bunny pic) and try to get some info regarding my issue; whether the tips are not glued, and that actually the issue I'm having is normal.

Much thanks for any help.

Can you not just glue them yourself if it bothers you? Seems like a lot of hassle you are going through for something that you can sort out in minutes.

Although I haven't had Raybans, I have had other glasses where this is the same and the ends do move a little.

All my pairs of Ray Bans have been like that. Very rarely did it come off though.

However, I would take them back, they should replace them on the spot within the warranty period. That's how it is in Australia anyway.

No doubt about that!

No Rayban locally for me, otherwise I'd give them a quick call. :(

Thanks for the answers.

The thing is that I know I can glue them, and close the chapter. But I paid something for $239 which is supposed to be new, so I expect it to be "issue-free". I don't want to buy something brand new, and then I do some gluing on it on the same day.

I hope you guys understand what I'm trying to say.
