ACTIONpack Posted January 15, 2013 Share Posted January 15, 2013 http://razorjack.net/quicksand/ http://razorjack.net/quicksand/docs-and-demos.html I'm trying to learn how to use Quicksand but can't get it to work. Is there a video tutorial how to learn it? Not really good at jQuery and javascript. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
0 ACTIONpack Posted January 15, 2013 Author Share Posted January 15, 2013 http://www.romabio.com/products/index3.html The link above is my example and it's not working. Need help! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
0 Mathachew Veteran Posted January 15, 2013 Veteran Share Posted January 15, 2013 You have an error in tooltips.js on line 51: Uncaught TypeError: Object #<Object> has no method 'tooltips'. That's causing all other JS to break. Fix that and see if Quicksand works. Guth 1 Share Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

0 threetonesun Posted January 16, 2013 Share Posted January 16, 2013 <script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.3/jquery.min.js"></script><script type="text/javascript" src="../js/tooltips.js"></script><!-- <script type="text/javascript" src="../js/main.js"></script> --><script type="text/javascript" src="../js/jquery-1.4.1-and-plugins.min.js"></script><script type="text/javascript" src="../js/quicksand.js"></script>
Well... load quicksand.js after jquery but before your code, first of all. If you move the tooltips code under the document.ready() it should work. Or
(function($) { $("#footer-social a[title]").tooltips();})(jQuery)
Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

0 game_over Posted January 17, 2013 Share Posted January 17, 2013 Not sure why you would need a full plugin for this, here's a basic example: http://jsfiddle.net/jtpvb/2/ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
0 briley Posted January 17, 2013 Share Posted January 17, 2013 You're loading two different versions of jQuery: <script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.3/jquery.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="../js/tooltips.js"></script> <!-- <script type="text/javascript" src="../js/main.js"></script> --> <script type="text/javascript" src="../js/jquery-1.4.1-and-plugins.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="../js/quicksand.js"></script> That second version of jQuery (jquery-1.4.1-and-plugins.min.js) is overwriting the first one (jquery.min.js). If you need both, then you need to set them up using jQuery.noConflict (see here), otherwise, get rid of one of them, then include the tooltips and quicksand plugins after whichever one you keep. That should get rid of the tooltips error message you're getting Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
