need to parition hard disk

I got a new laptop and have 1TB hard disk. I want to partition that so that i can store data in those drives and dont have to worry about formatting..

I am looking a good and simple (free) hard disk partition tool. Can anyone recommend any tool?

when i used windows i used

Easeus Partition Master Home Edition

although i think windows 7 comes with a Disk Manager

Windows 7 has a partitioning tool built in.

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Administrative Tools\Disk Management

You can shrink volumes, create volumes and perform other related tasks.
