tim_s
Hi, For myself anyways - I am not saying apple has made a bad. Infact if you review my signature you will see I have a mac book pro listed. It is my second because this fits a niche - it has a native bash terminal and is quite plug and play. This makes it ideal for running around and making meetings and being adaptable. Works great! Does it beat my Gentoo box - no, I prefer the customization and the optimization. Can my mac do the same tasks - in some manner but is it geared to meet those challenges no. Does it beat my Windows box - no, I prefer the game selection on windows. Can my mac do the same tasks - in some manner but with new additions. Right tool for the right job and for the right person. You might be the right person but many people think you chose the wrong tool. What I do know is that my Gentoo box cost me 50% of my mac book value. You can see that 50% more would have a much more impressive machine geared towards being a server.

If you can get me a second Mac Mini to fully install Debian or Ubuntu, be my guest. I don't have enough resources at the moment to pull off enough til I'm financially stable. Why in the HELL would you buy a MAC to run LINUX!? You're never going to get far in the real world.
