How to upload photos from iphoto/aperture to dropbox

Recommended Posts

How does one export/upload pictures from a iphoto or aperture library to dropbox for photo sharing? I know that with aperture you can setup a facebook or flickr account for photo sharing. Do either of them have a dropbox plugin?

I don't think there's an Aperture or iPhoto plugin for Dropbox. However, it's still super easy:

- Find your photos.

- In Aperture, choose Export -> Versions?, or the equivalent in iPhoto

- Choose the size etc to export the photos at.

- In the save dialog, navigate to your Dropbox.

- Click Export.

He means this, share on the fly.

Exactly...I have a tremendous amount of space on DB and would love to use it. It would be a great way to share pics rather than just putting them up on FB or flickr.

If you can find the actual files in Finder, you can use the share button, otherwise I don't know I'm afraid

Just thought I would post back and say that I found my answer. I checked out Adobe Lightroom, which I found to be much easier to use and had a better set of features then either iphoto or aperture. There is also a dropbox plugin for Lightroom that does direct upload to your photos folder. It is exactly what I am looking for.
