They'll probably be digging up the remains of our "ancient" civilization(s), wondering why we buried our dead, sending whatever remains they find off to museums to be put on display so that they can study "primitive" man.

DVD? That would mean that they made a pictogram of DeCSS code. And Earth 50,000 years from now wouldn't be able to use it because they would have permission to decode the Content-Scrambling System. Should have picked an open format; then again they probably wouldn't be able to use that either because of patent issues. The future is going to be so bureaucratic that you wouldn't even be able to take a **** without violating a patent and sent to jail for up to 35 years.

The best dvd we have (to date) will last only 1000's years

That being said suppose a preserved one was found and future earth has technology to magnify vision of objects.

They be pretty interested in a "man-made" or non-naturally occurring object that has pits and groves in a series of pattern's.

They probably try to decrypt / break the code of the patterns.

Actually, there is nothing wrong with producing it in a format that's patented... by time the message is delivered, the patent will have expired very nearly 50,000 years previously.

In the pursuit for saving our accomplishments and getting remembered.

But are we getting remembered for being such barbaric society letting all these wars and all these victims happen and destroying earth like we do now.Actually we should be ashamed.
