My uncle saw his name in the obituaries once and he almost died on the spot. It has yet to happen to me. :D

When I was working for GE Money here in Australia, I took a call from a guy in a store wanting to purchase goods on his card. The system showed him a deceased. Clearly he wasn't, ID checks were done by the store, and I removed the block and gave him his money.
