It was only in the "alternate ending" that Freddy "won". In the theater and regular movie, there was no clear winner. No. However if someone is wielding a machete and coming at me. Then yes, if they feel like they need to try to kill me then damn it, i'm not going to offer them a nice cup of tea and a chat i'm gonna try my best to do it back to them. I don't advocate shooting people for simple assaults or arguments. I only think using a gun is justified when someone is trying to kill you, which means they they have a weapon and actively trying to use it on you. So no I don't think the world should burn. I think that we should indeed try to talk our way out of bad situations however there's a time to talk and a time to take action.
