France to deport radical Muslim clerics

74 posts in this topic

He was a Roman Catholic. That isn't an atheist rewrite. It's cowardly religious zealots who try to hide the fact Hitler was a Christian.

As indeed just about everyone in Europe was back in those days. Atheists were almost unknown. Everyone was either Roman Catholic, Protestant, or Jewish back then. It's really quite ridiculous to claim Hitler was neither of those, just like it's ridiculous to claim that what he did was done as an anti-religious thing. It was a political move spurred on by a large dose of being completely nucking futs.

What you think "we atheists" want has bugger all to do with any reality, pal. First, "we" are not a "we" at all, and second, all atheists I know couldn't give a damn what you want to believe as long as it doesn't affect our lives in any way, shape or form.

You say that and that we all know what you mean. Even the poster above you said " Why shouldn't all religion be "wiped off the face of the Earth"?"

It's fairly obvious that you all don't like nor respect people with faith and so you want to throw everything out.

Again, check your own back yard first. America's rapidly heading down the crapper.

America has problems. No doubt about that. Europe has HUGE problems and they have always had HUGE problems.

How do you think we had WW1, WW2, ethnic cleansing and all of the corruption? That was ONLY just the 20th century. We can go back into history and see more.

None of this has to do with religion, but my point still stands.

Do you ever get bored with lying and making stuff up all the time?

What lies have I told here? Quick, make one up!

"'I am driven with a mission from God'. God would tell me, 'George go and fight these terrorists in Afghanistan'. And I did. And then God would tell me 'George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq'. And I did.

And now, again, I feel God's words coming to me, 'Go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East'. And, by God, I'm gonna do it."

George Bush Jr

http://www.guardian....oct/07/iraq.usa

100% a religious war. You need to listen to what your own idiot president at the time was saying at the time.

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. George Bush Jr is not religious at all. It's lip service given to the religious right.

You clearly have no idea about politics in America.

I can't believe you people actually believe that. I am a believer in faith and I am telling you, he is just a mouth

piece for the republican party to give lip service.

I however am not a Republican or Democrat, I am an Independent and I can see through their lies.

No, I mean the extremist christians who do things like set fire to abortion clinics or shoot doctors who perform abortions, picket the funerals of innocents and say god did it because he hates gays, deny homosexuals equal rights because "god says the gay is evil". All of that kind of horsecrap that actually seems quite prevalent in American christians. How is that kind of obscene behaviour any different to the mullah's who incite hate against non-muslims?

When was the last time there was a fire at an abortion clinic? You use the same tired old crap. A very few people did something like that so now everyone who believes that abortion is murder is going to set fire to an abortion clinic? Get real.

Plenty of those, too. Don't defend them.

Don't defend what? Peaceful people who go to church every week? Seriously?

Here is a hint. Just because you say that you are something, doesn't mean that you actually are.

It was Goebbels' opinion that Hitler was "deeply religious but entirely anti-Christian."

So...any particular reason why you didn't answer the question?

Busy with cleaning my house...

I fixed this for you...

"You'd be hard pressed to find a single person that isn't hypocritical, doesn't single out specific races or other religions, doesn't single out the sexuality of others, doesn't treat one sex completely unfairly over the other..."

Really doesn't have to do exclusively with religion, but fine live in your fairy tale world.

Which means what exactly? Most of the Roman Catholics I grew up around hissed at "Christians" as they didn't/don't understand that it's a form of Christianity. Having been brought up in an Orthodox family, my own religiously over-dramatic grandmother even to this day claims Catholics aren't truly Christian and have nothing to do with our (her) God.

He very well could have been Roman Catholic and viewed Christianity with disdain as if Catholicism wasn't a part of Christianity.

Twisting views based on your own propaganda now. Keep digging.

Here is some more information using the same exact source...

Albert Speer quotes Hitler stating, "You see, it's been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why didn't we have the religion of the Japanese, who regard sacrifice for the Fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion too would have been much more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness?"[31]

Twisting what? I simply pointed out the possibility that it could be true. Even if it was true, does that bother you?

Good !

Islam obviously does not work in the West.

If a person leaves their country and moves to another country Islamic teaches them to fit in and respect the laws and rules of that country.

In an easier form, leave your s*it on the door step and pick up your s*it and take it home with you when you leave.

So anyone if Islamic, Jewish, Xtian, Atheist, Agonistic etc.. should also respect the rules.

Anyway, the country/countries these Islamic extremist comes from don't want them back, so it's hard to remove them.

It doesn't bother me if it was true. The thing that bothers me that it is proven not to be true and you try to twist the truth to fit your own agenda (typical).

I am out of here for tonight.

We're talking about extremists. Plenty of Christians with extreme views and engage in violence against people who they don't like. Especially things to do with church/state separation.

Here is a hint. Just because you say that you are something, doesn't mean that you actually are.

Strange, I thought he was an atheist. Self-hating atheist, then?

I think you need a severe reality check. Possibly some reading lessons. What agenda? I made a simple statement that it is absolutely possible that Hitler was Christian (Roman Catholic), and you went off on some tangent about twisting things. I have no agenda other than to say "Hey guess what? You haven't proven he wasn't."

Where is your proof? Did you know him personally? Were you there? Do you have inside information? There are probably hundreds (if not thousands) of quotes and random stories about Hitler and the kind of person he was/wasn't. I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt by pointing out that you don't know any better than anyone else does.

I suppose I shouldn't have expected anything more or less from someone who believes in something as fictional as the bible.

It's fairly obvious that you all don't like nor respect people with faith and so you want to throw everything out.

Stop putting words into other people's mouths. Your twisted imaginings have no bearing on the facts of what people have said, so stop lying and making things up. Again.

I and most other atheists are quite happy for you to believe in your nonsense as long as if doesn't affect us. As soon as you try to force it on us, we WILL take issue with that.

America has problems. No doubt about that. Europe has HUGE problems and they have always had HUGE problems.

Europe is in no more real trouble than the US is. Sure we have some financial issues, but yours are way way worse.

What lies have I told here? Quick, make one up!

Well, your very first paragraph that I just quoted above, for a start.

Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. George Bush Jr is not religious at all. It's lip service given to the religious right.

You clearly have no idea about politics in America.

I can't believe you people actually believe that. I am a believer in faith and I am telling you, he is just a mouth

You say you're religious, he says he's religious. Why are you telling the truth and he lying, hmm? If someone says they're religious, I have no alternative but to believe their word until they do something to disprove it.

When was the last time there was a fire at an abortion clinic? You use the same tired old crap. A very few people did something like that so now everyone who believes that abortion is murder is going to set fire to an abortion clinic? Get real.

It happens, more often than you'll admit too. Also, I'm struggling to understand WHY you're defending the actions of christian extremists. Is it because they're christians? Do they get some special exemption from you because they bow their heads to the same imaginary friend? Do you agree with the crazy beliefs and tactics of people like the Westboro Baptists? Are you an extremist who believes that any means justifies your means?

In short, do you want it to be christianity by the sword? It seems that you do, as you seem to be defending extremists...

I would be perfectly OK with someone deporting Westboro Baptist Church to some third world country.

Also it's easy to say you're religious, but his actions do not follow said religion, so it's hard to take it seriously. I am not the supreme authority on everything mind you, but politicians are full of hot air whether you're religious or not.

The thing is what extreme Muslim refers to in this instance is that there are Muslim groups in many European cities who preach a type of militant separatism, are opposed to democracy, are arming themselves, and issuing death threats. For instance, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharia4Belgium

Nothing else really compares. Maybe people got touchy about the focus of some here on "extreme Christians" even though they don't support extreme Christians because there aren't any more extreme Christians in the West than there are extreme anarchists, atheists, environmental groups, animal rights groups, LGTB groups, etc. Which again, has very little to do with what's going on with Muslim separatists.

This thread is such a fail its not even funny

  1. We have no church state separation in Europe some areas do in fact have religious laws.
  2. Deportation isn?t the solution to this mess, You can?t deport a religion or a belief.
  3. The solution is church state separation keep the government neutral when it comes to religion.

This protects everyone?s rights, You never know which religion will have the majority in the future christians dump the relgious laws/public schools etc before they bite you in the ass.

A sovereign Nation can do as they please. Australia takes no abuse from Muslims trying to tell them what to do.

Are you aware of how a demoracy works ? Without a secular constitution like that of the united states it is pretty much majority rules.

Religious courts and laws are allowed.
