Windows 8 Pro Surface tablet to see initial shipments of 1 million units

Microsoft's Windows 8 Pro-based Surface tablet, which is set to release on February 9,

will only have an initial shipment volume of one million units,

far lower than the four million shipments of the company's Surface RT tablet when launched,

well, this the problem when Microsoft are for outsourcing and not manufacturing the tablet themself, rumors shows up.

It seems the huge hype surrounding the Surface has failed to generate much interest. Aside from underwhelming specs (particularly the display resolution) the biggest problem is that it's overpriced in comparison to the competition, while the app market is nowhere near as developed as the competition.
