ACTIONpack
Has anyone update the HTC 8X on T-Mobile yet? It's been over 2 hours now and still installing. Would like to know if anyone updated it yet and how long does it take. The last update for Windows Phone 8 took over and hour and half.

Good thing it worked out, I'd have freaked out after the one hour mark. Is everything working ok now.
jasonon
Wow, that takes WAY too long. I wonder what took so long... Perhaps MS should consider allowing the phone to download the update in the background before you start the update process. That would surely speed up the process. From my experience, it takes a long time if you've filled it up. Wow, that takes WAY too long. I wonder what took so long... The backup process usually takes the longest.
George P Global Moderator Posted February 16, 2013 Global Moderator Share Posted February 16, 2013 As far as WP8 goes once you select to download the update it will do so in the background and even use your data connection if you set it to. Of course when the download is done it jumps right into the install process. There is no option to download first and then wait to install when you want like you get on the pc.
