I am going to help run a gaming club at my high school. My students are excited to play organized games. There is no budget yet for the club, so I need suggestions from you guys regarding the games we choose.

Our computers are nothing special, standard computer lab setup, but should be enough for gaming on low settings.

Any games we get must be free, at least at first.

I was thinking of starting with:

League of Legends
Team Fortress 2

A few suggestions:

- Counterstrike 1.6 :D
- Quake 3 Arena
- DOTA 2
- Monday Night Combat

Also look up on Google for free top-down shooters. There are a few goodies that have escaped my mind. Another suggestion is to install Steam and look through Free2Play shooters/mmo's etc.

there is a tab in steam which has all of their free games.

Keep an eye on this forum, a lot of people post free games/deals every so often.

The specific specs of the lab computers might help a little.
