Definitely not, got me some awesome gorilla glass and if I drop it a film is not gonna protect it from smashing.

Those tempered glass ones though would be my only choice if I did.

I have an anti-glare screen on my iphone4, not as a protector, but just reduces the glare and in my opnion makes the product look more expensive/quality. It's been on there for a few years now and still going good

Nope. They reduce the screen quality and make the screen less responsive. I haven't had an issue with screen damage, partly because I make sure not to put anything else in my pocket with the phone. I don't bother with cases either, as they make the phone too bulky.

Scr4een protectors don't reduce screen quality, if it does, is really a cheap one. I use a case with the phone too, it never stops looking amazing.

Nope, just a waste of money, even as far back as my cheap MyTouch 3G, never scratched my screen, have dropped all my phones at least once in their lifetimes

I don't anyone thinks it's protecting it from smashing. It's more for scratches. Honestly I don't know if it's nesscarily. I certainly know lots of people who have scratched up there phone.

On small high res displays, like Apple's retina, they absolutely do decrease screen quaility. It doesn't matter how expensive they are.

I used to on my GNEX. The the humidity caused it to peel off and have not replaced it and dont plan on it. The glass is really scratch resistant now and not like it used ot be when smart phones first started coming out.

yup, i use SGP ones for my iphone, little pricey but so so much better than cheap ones, and no i dont think they reduce the screen quality or responsiveness, if anything it makes it better as have less fingerprints left on the screen.

As for it having gorilla glass, even though it is really strong it still can be scratched unless your very careful your with it. Also plastic screen protectors can help prevent the glass shattering as will absorb some of the impact. Iv dropped my phone face flat on the road but got a few smell dents in the protector, and a few ppl i know that have done the same with no protector have had shattered screens.

Never been of the protectors made of glass, every review iv read says they look amazing but extremely fragile and after a short while the sides of it start to break and shatter but admittedly that was 2 years ago so the quality might have improved since then

I don't. I find them to be annoying. I find it challenged to put the protector on without bubbles, and then some how over time dust builds up underneath the edges. I've had phones for years and never had the screen get scratched. So i don't think the trouble is worth it.

It's really easy. You just need to put some water on the protector and apply it to the screen. Remove the excess of water and let it dry. All bubles will be gone in about 3 days.
