+Byt Subscriber¹ Posted February 5, 2013 Subscriber¹ Share Posted February 5, 2013 Hey All, I have been given the job of transferring the video recordings from an old Digital Video Camera which takes tapes!! I do have the cameras AV Cable which allows it to be plugged into a TV, via the yellow and white / red cables, but i am wondering how i can use this cable to capture the video on my computer? Is there some usb device that does this or am i going to need a pci card? I know absolutely nothing about video / audio and am out of my depth here :p i just hope i can find a solution so i dont let the client down, Thanks in advance for any help :) xx

remixedcat
get a haupauge video capture card and then you can use AVS4YOU software that's cheap to do it. They're running a big sale right now on it too... (My link gets you a discount)
+Byt Subscriber¹ Posted February 5, 2013 Author Subscriber¹ Share Posted February 5, 2013 Thanks for that, sorry to be a pain in and ass but could you link me to a capture card you would recommend? It would need to be PCI-E
+BudMan MVC Posted February 5, 2013 MVC Share Posted February 5, 2013 Why don't you just order the one you found for that price and see how it works.. You might be surprise and save a few bucks, if works like crap - then your out what the cost of a beer ;)
