Corsair H80i vs Antec Kuhler 920 vs Noctua NH-D14

Recommended Posts

I've been various reviews and all 3 coolers seems to be excellent.

For me I'm leaning towards the water cooled ones as they look better in the case, and more room.

The problem is reading real-life experiences of the H80i & 920 seem to be flaky at best, loads of problems it seems

Whilst I've not heard anything bad with the Noctua, it's just the size of it that seems to be the issue.

If you own or HAD to one one of the three, what would you go for any why?

My H80i is still in the mail atm. So, I haven't had the chance. I never heard anything bad about the Corsair.

Any air cooler will not be able to maintain consistent cooling on overclocking and full load of CPU over a longer time..this is because water cooling is still far more efficient method.

Yes, the stats show they might have similar idle temps and so on, but Corsair will be able to sustain the same level of cooling for long periods of time, air will have trouble.

Noctua is one of the best, but it takes half the case.

I would say H80i is a good choice.. they will be a few degrees difference but H80i will allow much better airflow in your case.

On my i5 760, I got it up to 4.0GHz, and I was using a Xigmatek cooler. I never got above 65C on full load.
