Why the United States only? Anyway, these online petitions are nothing more than feel-good measures. They have very little practical value.

As I'm sure you know, racism has been around since biblical times. Sadly, it's part of human nature.

You can't ban thoughts and feelings or the freedom of speech (1st amendment). It has to apply to things many of us don't like as well as those we do like.

So under your plan the NAACP would have to be banned as it is only for the advancement of (Black) People. I don't like to use the word colored.

I'd be a political prisoner if this became a law, because I am against a welfare state and people think that's a racist belief.

From what I have seen, racism is taught by ones parents. Just like slavery is no longer an issue, the people that support it just had to die out over the course of a couple generations . Time will take care of this generation too since segregation was only a short 50-60 years ago. The only people that seem to be racist now a days in my experience are the uneducated and elderly.

From my experience, this (my) generation was more or less the start of the really bad generations, now we have children pushing their children around in pushchairs, and the generation below us are 10x worse than this generation, and their kids will be 10x worse than them

Things are not going to get better any time soon, not in the UK anyway
