Sharx 16/32 PCI-E DVR Surveillance Hardware

Recommended Posts

Has anyone played with any of the Sharx video surveillance hardware? It's super cheap so I ended up buying a 16 port card to play with (they actually gave me a free upgrade to 32 port). The hardware seems extremely superior to the competitors as far as production quality of the cables and cards.

Software installed fine on my Win7 x64 machine but its extremely lacking in features so far. I know third party programs only support 4 of the video feeds, so I want to stay with their OEM software that supports all 32, but I can't figure out how to get any other software (such as IP cam viewer on Android) to communicate with the software.

They do have an ActiveX control, and a program that can be loaded on a remote machine, but I'm trying to find generic compatibility for Android / iPhone so that I can remotely view without having to pull out a laptop or tablet. If we can figure this out, I believe the cards will have a much higher value on the market also (hell, I was thinking about putting one even in my carputer)

Edit:

Here is a link to the one that I ordered from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Sharx-Security-SCXSC300-PCI-express-Recorder/dp/B001UCWH6C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1360571104&sr=8-1&keywords=sharx+pcie
