Basically, I'm reading a lot of people are updating their devices to 4.2.2 as it's appearing for the Nexus devices (4,7, & 10). What confuses me, and concerns me a bit, is that it hasn't appeared for my device yet, is this a rollout sort of thing, meaning some people get it, and then there is a next wave of devices that get it and so on? Is anyone else running a Nexus 7 on 4.2.1 and not getting the 4.2.2 update?

It's the same way everyone does updates. Yes, a rollout. Slowly but surely everyone will get it.

It's rolling out in waves. I hadn't gotten it for my Nexus 10 yesterday before I just downloaded it and installed it manually.

Just go here and follow the correct instructions (custom recovery, or stock) and get it yourself.

Weird, I would have thought that if some Nexus 7 users got it, all Nexus 7 users would get it.

That would be a good way to overload their servers ;)
