CBS pilot ‘Crazy Ones‘ has made yet another terrific addition: former ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘ star Sarah Michelle Gellar! Following the demise of The CW’s ‘Ringer,’ Gellar will once again return to TV for the David E. Kelley single-camera comedy, taking the role of Williams’ character’s daughter, but will it be any good? Get the inside scoop on ‘Crazy Ones’ with SMG inside!

At long last, Sarah Michelle Gellar is returning to TV…again. The former ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer star will next take up with comedian Robin Williams in CBS’ forthcoming single-camera comedy pilot ‘Crazy Ones,’ which sees Gellar and the ‘Good Will Hunting’ Oscar-winner portraying a father-daughter advertising team for a pilot written by TV guru David E. Kelley.

Gellar will play Sydney Roberts, daughter of Simon (Williams), described as pretty, intense, driven, organized and practical. Gellar’s Sydney is the creative director and soul of the Roberts and Roberts Advertising Agency, and wishes to emulate her father but often finds herself too busy having to parent him. Also starring in the series is James Wolk (‘Lone Star’) as copywriter Zach Cropper.

Kelley will also executive produce the pilot alongside Dean Lorey, Bill D’Elia, John Montgomery and Mark Teitelbaum, while Jason Winer (‘Modern Family‘) will direct.

She effectively lost that little something she had in the early Buffy seasons.
