I owned all of the last-gen consoles at various points (Xbox 360, PS3, and a Wii) and all of them began to collect dust very quickly prior to finding new homes. simonlang Posted February 20, 2013 Share Posted February 20, 2013 if you really need to bring the new xbox online everytime for gaming, then definitely not. the best thing with the 360 is that u can play copied games. it makes the conosle affordable. pc gaming is too expensive and the playstation is just trash for the reason you cant play copied games. i will keep my 360. Been a PC gamer for the longest, and while I think the argument of it being "expensive" is stupid, I'm more interested in finding a way to get more use out of my TV for something other than football. Just get fed up of waiting in their misguided attempts to generate a buzz. Personally I would like to see teasers about 4 months before reveal. But I understand that in order to cater for everyone, part of the reason is so people in low income situations can save enough money to buy it on launch day. I don't know what we'll see for exclusives in the next gen, but I'm sure there'll be plenty of awesome ones. In many cases the PC market seems to be all about getting as many people playing as possible these days, not providing the best game possible. Nowhere near what you are implying. i suspect that most people just download their games - no matter if for consoles or pcs. i pay 2,5 euros roughly for every xbox game. and i paid 300 euros for the console - once. with pc you have to upgrade your hardware all the time, while with consoles the game companies are forced to optimize code and other things for a given hardware spec. face it, pc gaming is much more expensive no matter how you calculate. It is stupid. If I'm going to buy a powerful desktop over the course of time anyway, why the heck would I bother buying a powerful desktop capable of what I want to do, AND a gaming console? My spending limit on graphic cards is around $130-140 anyway. I'm running a 9800GTX still for instance, and I'm still playing Battlefield 3 at better resolution and settings as a console... I bought this back in 2008 too. TL;DR: It's not as expensive as you think. Besides, I can't be bothered with Live subscriptions, $60 games at release, hell I don't even have an HDTV yet! :o It's not worth arguing they wont listen. Considering that in 2004 there were no Intel Core CPU, you either don't game or you purchased a new CPU meanwhile, meaning that you spent quite a bit more than $280. Any 600?
