A driver crashed his car into the roof of a house, flipped over and landed upside down on the roof of a neighboring home in northwest Harris County, investigators said.
Harris County Precinct 5 deputy constables said it happened around 2:15 a.m. Sunday, when a driver speeding south on Addicks Satsuma Road failed to make a curve, went through a field, hit an embankment and went airborne.
Detectives said the car then slammed through a backyard fence, hit the roof of one house, flipped over, and landed upside down on top of a neighboring house.
Emergency crews rescued the driver and transported him to a hospital in stable condition.
Investigators said a crane needed to be used to remove the car from the roof of the second house. According to reports, two families were home at the time of the crash, but everyone managed to get out safely.
The driver's name has not been released. Detectives have not said what charges he may face.
