Google Earth, now powered by Apple Maps?

Question

Yikes. Checking out Boston on Google Earth (7.0.2.8415). Looks like ****.

This neighborhood in Boston looks like it was left in the oven for too long.

Boston's airport apparently collapsed...

... and melted.

Philly looks bombed out...

And Camden, NJ looks like.... Well, Camden, NJ.

It's honestly amazing it even works at all. I still think it looks good. Except for the last picture.

Google Earth barely works anymore on Windows. It's like they discarded any regards for proper Windows programming.

Hrm, seems like Dot Matrix found yet ANOTHER flaw with Windows 8, but let me guess, its a feature that makes it easier and faster to use, and more stable? right? Starting to wonder about that coolaid....

Haha. Zoom in more, Trek. I can see from here, that it still looks the same. Even the parking garage and terminals are collapsed on yours as well, and I can still see that half those buildings look melted. Nice try. ;)

Probably has nothing to do with windows 8. It's most likely a graphic/video card issue here, or Google Earth is just really messed up.

Isn't this just because 3D buildings is enabled? It's not like they can scan and model every town properly in autocad.

3D buildings are developed by modelers, many of them professionals. For whatever reason, these buildings are built using elevation data with a much horrid looking result.
